The government announced that UK workers would benefit from rises in the National Minimum Wage (NMW) and the National Living Wage (NLW) from 1 April 2021.
The new NLW and NMW rates are set out below. The NLW now applies to all workers aged 23 and over. The previous age of eligibility was 25. This will come down again to 21 by 2024.
The accommodation offset is a figure set by the government as a limit to the amount that can be considered as a value of the provision of accommodation by an employer for an employee that counts towards the national minimum wage.
